Exams Approaching

It's been a year since we had our introduction party (in the first year in college), and then, as the dean and the head of the department gave simple prizes to the students with the highest marks, I was determined to be one of them the next year.
As the date approached I grew more and more excited.. The dean is going to give me a small prize, a sign of appreciation.
The department's decision-maker (sounds funny but that's my translation for moqarrir al-qism) came into our class and called my name, my friend Z's name and A's name; we were the three with the highest grades in our department respectively.
I was very excited before the party, I was shaking really badly and had to close my eyes and try tried to meditate a bit to get more relaxed. As the dean was giving the students a speech, I was in another world, reciting from the Quran, hoping to be able to walk down the short alley between the desks towards the dean and the other professors..
They called my name first, and miraculously I was able to walk without tripping or making a fool of myself. The dean smiled and gave me an envelope with my name, class, and rank printed on it. I thanked him and was about to walk back when he asked the students to clap. As I turned to go back to my seat, seeing the first-graders (most of whom were my classmates last year and failed) and my classmate A, who's like a real brother to me, all clapping, I just couldn't get any happier.
The prize was a flash disk, 1GB, and I couldn't be more happy with it having lost my 218 MB few months ago. I don't think any of the other students appreciated the prize more.. I still haven't used it, I've put it back into the envelope and put it close to me so I can admire it every now and then :)
I made a visit to the college of Pharmacy today to see my best friend from school (you really do not know the real value of a good friend until you're apart). I had a very good time with her and we took few photos. HNK was really excited to have me at her college and I saw many of her classmates. I then went back to mom's room in her department where mom called the cafeteria downstairs, ordered nescafe for me and then went to give a lecture. I felt royal when the door of the room opened and I got the nescafe :D
In case you're wondering why I didn't go to college.. Again my classmates decided to skip college since Wednesday was a holiday, Friday is a weekend, and it "simply put, isn't worth it". But to give them some credit, my male classmates have been more than helpful the last few days I can not thank them enough, so I just couldn't stick to my opinion long this time..
Also, the weirdest thing happened.. The Engineering Analysis prof. actually requested for me to come and see him two days ago, and when I did, he asked me if we were going to skip college on Thursday. When I said yes, he asked if I was sure, and that he knew that if anyone would come, it would be me, and that I should notify all my classmates and make sure no soul entered the class or else he'll have to give the lecture and consider it given. Umm, makes me wonder why students don't skip weeks instead of days.
Our mid-year exams are starting on the 20th this month, please pray for me.. My goal is to have higher grades than last year. This means I should aim for full marks! I'm doing my best and I think I can do it IF you pray hard enough :) That should be REALLY REALLY hard.
See you in the break inshallah :)
